OUR
CLASSES

Ballet

We begin training our dancers in ballet from just 3 years old. These classes work alongside the ISTD syllabus with the expected professional standard. We only employ qualified staff under the ISTD to lead our ballet classes. Our classes are fun, inclusive and provide a fantastic base for all other dance styles. Training in ballet equips our dancers with the necessary flexibility, strength, technique and discipline required to be a successful dancer. Starting from fun rhymes and confidence building at just 3 years old to impeccable strength and technique progressing towards our Pointe programme throughout their teenage years. We have examination classes available too which dancers may be able to participate in.

Tap

We run tap classes in line with the ISTD syllabus with classes beginning at just 5 years old. Again employing those who are qualified under the ISTD tap syllabus. Tap classes are fantastic for rhythm and timing, helping our dancers succeed in other dance styles too. Our tap classes are extremely fun, structured and we follow a progressive programme with the ISTD. We also have examination classes available which dancers may be able to participate in.

Modern

Our Modern classes complete our ISTD syllabus, prepping our dancers for examinations. They can participate in these classes until they’re 18 years old which forms the base of teaching qualifications in the future.  Modern classes focus on technique and movement memory, influencing all other dance styles at the school and forming a strong base of training along with versatility. Modern classes encompass corner work and technique along with current dance phrases, improvisation and confidence building.

Jazz

Our jazz classes are fused with a commercial style with influences from Bob Fosse, Fred Astaire, Gene Kelly and musicals such as All That Jazz, West Side Story, Cabaret & the most recent West End remake Moulin Rouge.

We like a classic approach to jazz. We include all our jazz routines in all our shows and we usually compete with a jazz routine as it is one of our stronger genres as a school.

We like to focus on pirouettes, leaps, leg extensions with an elegance to our jazz style.

Our senior jazz routines are usually our showstoppers as we incorporate props, costumes and our unique choreography, to create a piece to remember!

Commercial

Our commercial classes are ran by some current names in the industry, providing our school with a fresh outlook on developing commercial techniques and choreography. These classes use current music and students develop a huge range of repertoire from some fantastic staff members who are all current dancers and choreographers. These classes combine improvisation and phrase work. They are fantastic classes to build confidence and show off your love of dance!

Acro

Our Acro classes allow our students to learn tricks alongside their dance training. Acro is in high demand in the industry and we wish to set a strong foundation for our dancers so they are as versatile as possible. Our teachers are both Acrobatic Arts and British Gymnastics qualified offering skills such as handsprings, walkovers, aerials and tumbling. Acro is a fantastic addition to your skill set and helps with strength, flexibility and bravery!

Stage School

Stage school classes are ran at an extremely high standard. Miss Sam has incredible talent and is a professional in her industry, being responsible in assisting students towards great success involving West End Roles, Cruise Ship Contracts and Theatre Productions! These classes involve singing, acting and dancing. Training in all 3 of these disciplines can prepare students for acting, and musical theatre roles in the future. Dancers who possess an understanding of singing and acting can use this in their training and future auditions to really stand out from the crowd.

Contemporary

Our contemporary classes encompass free bodied movement and emotive performances. These classes are fantastic for creativity, improvisation and grounding. Contemporary dance performance is good for those with lyrical style and those who wish to enhance their emotive performance, making them more versatile. This style is loved by all who attend and allows our dancers to really connect emotionally to their technique and performance.
